Policy

Please review the following terms and conditions of service.  

Please initial each of the checkboxes below and provide a signature to confirm your move management contract with Your Cozy Home Services:

A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your move date.  The Client may terminate this Agreement for any reason by providing written notice 7 days in advance of the move date. Cancellation of services will result in a refund of the 1st payment, minus the $500 deposit.

Move management service will be billed in two installments, with the 1st payment of 50% due upon booking, and the 2nd payment of balance remaining due on moving day.

The estimate provided to you may be different than the final invoice and reflects the estimated number of hours required to complete your move.  The final invoice and 2nd payment reflects actual number of hours needed to complete the move.  Service is billed at the hourly rate, in 15-minute increments.

  • Minimum Charge: A 4-hour minimum charge is mandatory, billed when the movers leave their warehouse.
  • Billing: Time over the minimum is billed after completion, potentially in 15-minute increments.
  • Deposit: A credit card deposit (equal to the 4-hour minimum) is required to secure the booking.
  • Cancellation/Refund: Deposits are refundable if cancellation occurs at least 3 days (72 hours) before the move date.
  • Service Area: Prices are for moves within London; moves outside the city incur additional charges.
  • Payment: Full payment of the remaining balance is generally due upon completion of the move, before unloading is finished.

Customer Responsibilities and Obligations

  • Valuables: To move high-value items (e.g., jewelry, personal documents) personally, as these are typically excluded from standard mover liability.
  • Payment: To pay the agreed-upon amount in full upon completion of the service, typically before unloading is finished.
  • Notification of Changes: To promptly notify the company of any changes to move dates, inventory, or service requirements.
  • Reporting Damages: To inspect items upon delivery and note any missing or damaged items on the moving paperwork before the movers leave. Claims for damage must be submitted in writing within a short time frame (e.g., typically 2-30 days, depending on the specific contract) with supporting documentation (pictures, description).
